MEMÓRIA REINVENTADA:
Neste ensaio serão elaborados vários trabalhos que pretendem enfatizar como a memória esquece e imagina. A cera será o material utilizado para enfatizar a memória que muda o que foi, que reinventa, representando a impossibilidade de recordação total.
1. Memória Reinventada: a caixa de slides é preenchida com cera, tornando a visão das imagens inacessível, reforçando que é impossível rever e recordar tudo.
2. Exposição conjunta feita no Centro Cultural da UFMG, em2018. O agora é indizível, já é passado. Nós vivemos o visível, sempre supondo que determinadas situações são ou não reais, sempre querendo construir uma narrativa. Este ensaio pretende enfatizar como a memória esquece, silencia e imagina. Podemos acusar a memória de ser pouco confiável, mas não a imaginação. Nessa instalação, o público é convidado a participar, inserir suas marcas na cera, que em breve se apaga e transforma. O apagamento, o silêncio e o esquecimento são parte da nossa vida.A ideia surgiu a partir da “tábula rasa”. Os gregos, antes de Cristo, a utilizavam para anotar aprendizados, rascunhos e fatos cotidianos. Este objeto era feito de pequenas tábuas com bordas de madeira, formando um pequeno nicho, no qual se colocava a cera de abelha, sendo a mesma raspada ou aquecida para que fossem inseridas novas anotações.
Uma correlação entre a “tábula rasa” e às carteiras escolares foi estabelecida neste trabalho. ;

REINVENTED MEMORY:
This essay will present several works that pretend to emphasize how the memory forgets and imagines.The wax will be the material used to emphasize the memory that changes what was, that reinvents, representing the impossibility of total recall.
1. Memory Reinvented: the slide box is filled with wax, making the view of the images inaccessible, reinforcing that it is impossible to review and remember everything,
2. Joint exhibition held at the UFMG Cultural Center in 2019. This essay aims to emphasize how memory forgets, silences and imagines. We can accuse memory of being unreliable, but not imagination. In this installation, the public is invited to participate, insert their marks in the wax, which soon goes out and transforms. Deletion, silence and forgetfulness are part of our life. The idea came from the “blank slate”. The Greeks, before Christ, used it to write down learnings, drafts and everyday facts. This object was made of small boards with wooden edges, forming a small niche, in which the beeswax was placed, the same being scraped or heated so that new notes could be inserted.
A correlation between the “blank slate” and the school desks was established in this work.
